NEET 2021 Question Paper Analysis

The NEET examination was on 12 September 2021. It is a yearly exam. The duration of the exam was 3 hours. Few coaching institutes such as Akash, Allen Kota, and others have released the NEET 2021 exam analysis. This analysis contains the sectional and overall difficulty levels of the exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). 


Overall, the feedback provided by students was that NEET 2021 question papers were moderate on the difficulty scale. The biology section of NEET 2021 was comparatively complicated compared to the other subjects like Chemistry and Physics. The students felt that the Chemistry and Physics examinations sections were lengthy. The biology paper had most of the questions based on NCERT.

Allen Kota - NEET 2021 exam analysis 


The paper was on NCERT. Some topics -biomolecules, cell biology, genetics, and ecology had questions from biology, botany, and zoology. The NEET 2021, when compared to the previous year, had a higher difficulty level. However, the questions in each subject were lengthy and took more time to answer. 


NEET Physics analysis by Allen Kota


  1. The physics paper had a total of 50 questions.

 

  1. Twenty questions came from the Electrodynamics topic.

3. 15 questions came from Mechanics, four from Optics, two from SHM Waves, and two from Heat. Seven questions came from Modern Physics and Electronics.

4. Section A consisted of 35 questions, and 15 questions came in section B. As per NEET 2021 UG analysis, Section A had 11 questions from the class 11 syllabus, and 14 questions came from the class 12 syllabus.

  1. In the difficulty analysis, Section A had 12 questions of easy level, 20 questions of moderate level and three questions were of difficult level.

 

  1. In Section B, six questions came from class X1, and nine questions came from class XII. Section B had three easy questions, six moderate difficulty, and six questions were difficult.


NEET 2021 Chemistry exam analysis by Allen Kota


The chemistry NEET-UG paper level was more difficult compared to 2020. All the questions that came were covered in Allen’s modules. The highlights are:


  • Topic-wise distribution saw 16 questions from Physical Chemistry, 17 questions from organic, and 17 questions from inorganic chemistry.  

  • The new NEET exam pattern had 35 questions in Section-A, out of which 15 questions were from the syllabus of class XI and 20 questions came from class XII. 4 questions in the section were in the easy level, 17 questions were moderately difficult, and four questions were difficult. 

  • In Section B - out of the 15 questions, five questions came from the syllabus of class XI, and ten questions came from class XII. 5 questions were of easy level, seven were of moderate difficulty level, and three were of difficult level.

Biology NEET 2021 analysis Allen Kota


The biology paper had 90% of questions based on the NCERT.

ü Topic-wise distribution saw maximum questions from Biomolecules, Genetics, and Cell Biology.

ü the questions on all three topics were from Zoology and Botany as well. 

ü Questions from Ecology were asked in Zoology and Botany.

ü Some questions had printing errors; for example, the question on the Plant Kingdom got misinterpreted. In the question of floral formula, the question number was wrongly set. In another question, there was a mistake in the Hindi translation.


Akash Coaching - NEET 2021 exam analysis 


Physics: The difficulty level in this section ranged from moderate to difficult, and there were no controversial questions. 


The numerical dominated the paper, and there were some tricky questions from topics like Semi-Conductors, Optics, and Photoelectric effect. This paper was lengthy.


Chemistry:   This section in NEET-UG was easy to moderately difficult. Most of the questions came from the NCERT. Most of the NEET Chemistry section questions were theoretical, accompanied by numerical. This section was not lengthy.


Biology: This section was easy to moderately difficult. Some of the questions were tricky and based on NCERT. The paper was not lengthy.

Zoology: The paper had questions that were tricky, and the difficulty level was moderate. A special focus was on keywords. The biotechnology section had 11-12 questions, whereas, in the Human Physiology section, four questions from Locomotion and Movement were asked.
